2 апреля 2000 года в «Орто Дойду» состоялось уникальный заплыв — пловец-экстремал Семен Петрович Алексеев проплыл подо льдом от полыньи до полыньи.
Также 21 сентября 2000 года состоялось чествование команды Республики Саха (Якутия) под руководством Алексея Уварова, принявшей участие на Кубке Мира по муай-тай и завоевавшей золотую, серебряную и бронзовую медали.
2 апреля было свежо, около -20 градусов.
